Have you ever felt that your worth is connected to how much you can achieve?

A yoga practice can be your gateway into the soul.  It brings together the unconscious thoughts, beliefs and the disconnection we have with our body, mind and spirit into the cosmic understanding that we were born with, our soul.

Yoga for me was an access point into a new way of moving through life. Everything changed for me when I became connected with my breath and the movement of yoga. I started to pay attention to my neglected body, my obsessive thoughts and hidden emotions.

I began to move through my day in a more mindful way, more aware of my thinking mind.  Prior to my practice I developed a habit since my early teens of moving through life with force oblivious to anything other than my productivity.

Forcing myself to work harder, think less and move faster, to always push towards my dreams and what I thought were my goals which was always to make money to live independently.

I worked full time while being a high school student, saving enough money with my boyfriend, now husband, to buy our first home at the age of 18.  Shortly after my high school graduation in 1996 we moved into our new house.  I was proud of my accomplishment but I could have never grasped what a big deal it really was.

It was only until recently, when I contemplated and looked back at the history that shaped who I am today, that I really realized how much effort, grit and tenacity it took for me to pay a mortgage each month, attend college full time by taking out enormous student loans and working full time at the ripe age of 18.

Becoming a machine to live for my dream life left me exhausted physically, mentally and emotionally everyday. I unconsciously hid behind my false ideology of what self worth meant.

Have you ever felt like your worth is connected to how much you can achieve?

Or how many check marks you put next to your to-do’s in a day?

Or even how much you can push or force yourself to make shit happen?

There is nothing honorable about burning yourself to ashes for the sake of what you believe is success despite your deep rooted beliefs.

You are worthy of an intentional dream life that is designed by you.  Not from the mind, but from your soul.

Let’s be honest, that can't be done when you are living like a robot on auto pilot.

Is it connection you crave?

Is it a slower paced day that feels peaceful?

Is it time for you to explore your own soul led dreams and desires?

My gateway into a new way of BEING was an invitation to a yoga practice that had broken me open to a new view of my soul.

You are worthy of a more peaceful, fulfilling and prosperous life on your own terms.

It is simply a matter of you DECIDING what it is that you want for yourself going forward and ditching for good what no longer serves your soul.

What is one single thing you can do today to create peace and harmony for yourself without the burnout? Trust that your soul knows.

Let’s connect. Join me over on Instagram or inside my private Facebook community so that you can start living a soul led life on your terms without apologies.
